Head of Digital
To manage, develop and inspire the digital services team to provide innovative and quality interactive solutions helping clients businesses and growing a profitable and exciting department. An inspirational figurehead to autonomously shape our digital service offer and provide vision for the future.
Responsibilities:
- To scope and plan online client projects facilitating any necessary research and providing analysis in order to prepare creative and technical colleagues with accurate and fit for purpose briefs.
- To ensure digital projects are delivered within agreed timescales and in accordance with internal budgets and resources, maximizing profitability and client satisfaction.
- Work with Account Director to develop ROI focused online marketing strategies for clients, which enhance brand presence.
- Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
- To identify, recommend and manage relationships with any external suppliers relevant to client requirement - e.g. freelance designers & developers, search, social media, email providers.
- To monitor industry developments ensuring that the Studio North digital service offer remains at the forefront of technological advances - making recommendations to the board of directors as to potential areas of investment and where we can add value to the client base.
- To interface with the creative director, the studio and account management teams to ensure clear and effective lines of communication between client requirement and creative delivery.
- When appropriate, contribute to and help present strategic proposals, design concepts and rationale to clients in line with company presentation standards.
- Help prepare and attend new business meetings and/or pitches where appropriate.
- Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.
- To recommend and attend agreed training sessions in order to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
What you need to have:
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience
- Strong managerial and organisational skills
- A strategic thinker with a passion for all things digital
- Previous agency experience essential
